Tephereth

Tephereth / Core of the Being / Beauty / Opening : June is represented by the 6th sephira in the Tree of Life. Tepereth, the upper edge being located at the tip of the sternum, deals with the Sun, astrologically Leo, and hence, the element of Neutral Fire. Tepereth forms and expresses the center for the human life. It is the place of the seen and unseen, and the connected point of Heaven and Earth.

It is also sometimes refered to as the Crown within the Body. Here we find the image of the Creator within the being. Two distinct bands of energy flow horizontally around the body in opposite directions. This energy radiates like the Sun to the entire edges of the person’s field, very much like the sun in our Universe. This radiance is the inner beauty of a person, and is the reflection of the “True I” or true self. Everything flows to and from here.  In that, Tepereth is the point of balance for the entire tree, and when a person goes off their center, this flow is disrupted and a “Median Turbulence” happens causing tensions within the area.

Interestingly, in the facial physignomy, Tepereth is located over Yin Tang, which helps to influence the pineal (the pine cone shaped gland), and hence the 3rd Eye.

Meditate on this symbol for 5 minutes a day through the month of June to help become conscious of oneself and gain a deeper knowledge of ‘thyself’. Alternately, you could also print off this symbol (make it about 2.5 inches) and place the upper edge at the lower tip of the sternum for the 5 minutes with your eyes closed.
