Clearing the Air about PVS & Long-COVID: Insights and Natural Therapies

Person sitting on couch looking exhausted with a ladder to their right.

Even though the pandemic has been declared over, I continue to research what is now referred to as PVS (Post-Vaccination Syndrome) and Long-COVID, as they often present with overlapping symptoms.

One of the most recent studies, conducted by Yale, introduces the term “PVS” (Post-Vaccination Syndrome) and “PACVS” (Post-Acute COVID Vaccine Syndrome). To be clear, I’m not here to tell you whether to get a vaccine—that’s a personal choice. My role is to be prepared for the rare instances when things don’t go as expected and to offer natural health options for those seeking support. I am a firm advocate for health freedom and informed choice.

So, what exactly is PVS/PACVS? It shares many of the same symptoms as Long-COVID, including exercise intolerance, excessive fatigue, numbness, brain fog, neuropathy, insomnia, palpitations, myalgia, tinnitus, headaches, burning sensations, and dizziness. More severe cases may involve myocarditis, pericarditis, thrombosis, Guillain–Barré syndrome, transverse myelitis, Bell’s Palsy, and other complications.

While the exact mechanisms remain unclear, ongoing research suggests that the spike protein or virus can persist in some individuals for extended periods—over 709 days in some cases. This lingering presence may also trigger other health concerns, such as reactivating latent infections. Here are some of the things I’ve found beneficial over the years:

  • Some research suggests that iron levels may play a role in Long-COVID symptoms. If you have concerns about iron levels, discussing this with your healthcare provider may be beneficial.
  • Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA) is another area of interest, as it may support the body’s ability to maintain Exclusionary Zone (EZ) Water, which is linked to cellular health.
  • Phosphatidylcholine (PC), a phospholipid, has been studied for its role in cellular health and detoxification. PC is found in Liposomal Vitamin C by CodeAge, Bio-Quercetin by Life Extension, and other products available in the Fullscript Dispensary.
  • Senolytics, such as Senolytic Activator by Life Extension, Longestive Phyto Caps by Quicksilver Scientific, and Qualia Senolytic by Neurohacker Collective, may support the body’s natural process of clearing “zombie” cells—cells that should have been eliminated but persist in a dysfunctional state.
  • DMSO (Dimethyl Sulfoxide) is one of the most promising options I’ve explored. It is not just virustatic, but also fungistatic and bacteriostatic. Some research suggests it may support circulatory health and has been studied for its potential ability to influence blood properties (read more here). After months of research and personal use, I believe DMSO holds significant promise.
  • Another natural option is Nattokinase. Some doctors now recommend it prophylactically. My preferred brand is Nattokinase with Vitamin E by Progressive Labs, though some may need Serrazime. Learn more here: Read more.
  • Colorpuncture has also been an invaluable tool in supporting recovery. By applying specific frequencies of light to energetically sensitive points on the body, we can help remind the system of a state of health and balance.
  • Synapsis Brainwave therapies may further aid in restoring neurological function and coherence, offering additional support for those experiencing cognitive fog, fatigue, and nervous system dysregulation.
  • BOOO (Breathing Ozonated Oil Ozonides) is another promising approach. This method involves inhaling ozonides from ozonated oils, which some practitioners find beneficial for supporting oxygen delivery, reducing inflammation, and promoting cellular repair.

Final Thoughts & Next Steps

Long-COVID and PVS/PACVS present ongoing challenges, but emerging research and natural approaches offer promising pathways for support. Whether through targeted supplementation, senolytics, Colorpuncture, brainwave therapies, BOOO, or innovative compounds like DMSO, there are holistic strategies available for those seeking relief.
