It’s all over in the news… “the Flu is up this year” and they are saying that the Flu Vaccine is considerably less effective than in years past. Keep in mind, we won’t ever tell you not to get a vaccine as this is not the type of medicine we offer here (unless we see that your immune system maybe compromised, than we highly suggest you talk more indepth with your allopathic doctor first before, or waiting until it appears that your system can actually handle the vaccine better), we focus more on how can You have a stronger immune system with or without vaccines, so your body can do what it is innately designed to do, and that is to keep You healthy.Below are some tips that we use here, and SchaOn recently used when he got the cold/flu, which only lasted about 48 hours.Some tips:
Reduce stress (duh) – a Moist-Heat Liver pack in the evening goes a LONG way in reducing stress and boosting the immune system.
Elderberry has been clinically shown to reduce the sick time of Influenza A & B from 7 days to 4 days. Elderberry also makes it harder for the virus to spread from one cell to the next. We have 2 throat lozenges here in the clinic that contain Elderberry for this exact reason.
Zinc is crucial mineral that helps to boost the immune system. Zinc is also contained in these lozenges.
Oscillococcinum is a Homeopathic HPUS remedy that can be taken when you first start getting sick, and helps to reduce the duration of the cold and flu. We have some in-stock here, or you can also order it via the online dispensary and have it at your door in 2 days.
Epsom Salt Baths are a great way of getting magnesium into your system (and there’s tremendous benefits to magnesium). Additionally, this helps to get your lymph to move which helps maintain a healthy immune system and clean the cells. Additionally, the hot water helps to bring your temp up helping to kill off more of the viruses.
Do you have a temp? Try to maintain that and don’t try to break it right away, unless it’s really high (over 105 F) or if it’s lasted more than 2 days is when you want to start getting concerned. Part of the normal immune response is to create a fever to kill off the viruses, and allowing the innate ability of your body’s own defenses goes a LONG way in maintaining a healthy immune system for life.
We have the Immune Support Audio therapy here in the office and it’s only $10/session. Worried about getting us sick? Don’t worry, we wipe down the doors handles with Silver Hydrosol (avail. via the online dispensary), as well as put it into the humidifiers and air diffuser. Additionally, we also add Immune Supporting Essential Oils and Herbs into the air… and if we do happen to get sick, we have pretty strong immune systems and heal pretty quickly.

Also, you can’t forgot the Vitamin D3. Some naturopaths recommend 25,000 IU for 3 days when first getting sick.
Additionally in the clinic, we also have Immune Support tablets by Banyan Botanicals, Trikatu by Organic India (helps move slow digestion — good pooping is important for healthy immune function), Triphala (high in Vitamin C), as well as Ashwagandha to help maintain strength.
For a Cough, you can also try: 1/4 tsp ground Cinnamon with 1 tsp Raw Unheated Honey in Hot Water and drink. Raw Unheated Honey helps boost the immune system as well as heats stuck mucous. Cinnamon is high in Anti-Oxidants and has other good immune support effects.
This is a favorite of ours during this time of year:
1 Cup Whole Milk
1/8 tsp Cinnamon
1/8 tsp Turmeric
1/8 tsp Cardamom
1 tsp Raw Unheated Honey

New Tools are on their way!
Esogetics has come out with some new fantastic tools and we are lucky enough to be able to bring some of them to you in the next few weeks!
The first new tool is the Esogetics Synapsis Wave Machine that includes new programs for Addictions, Long Gamma and Power Nap. The Synapsis machine helps in bringing back healthy brainwaves. We’ll have more information about this awesome new tool in the next newsletter!
The second new tool that we are getting in is called theBody Disc, or also goes by “the Slice of Earth” (pictured to the left). This is the third crystal disc and goes along with the Love Disc (Disc of the Heart), as well as the Dream Disc. This disc features the sacred geometry of the “Flower of Life”. The Earth Disc is the optimal medium to reactivate the communication between the body’s cells. It can be used in any situation. As it is assigned to the body and thus to the cellular consciousness, it relates to blockages of all cellular structures. The application of this disc is particularly suited to the Esogetic segmental zones of the body and resolves blockages gently. SchaOn, to say the least, is very excited to add this to his tool kit.

It’s THAT time of Year again: Holiday Virus Season
The Holiday shopping season has begun, “Early Black Friday Deals”, “Get A $200 Macy’s Store Credit” (a recent scam event on Facebook stating Macy’s was giving away thousands of in-store credits worth thousands of dollars with over 29K people duped), and more. Phishing scams and virus exploits are at their high during this time of year, which roughly runs from the middle of November to the end of April (Holiday Shopping through Tax Season).
Be very cautious with any links that you click on in emails, or things you like, share or “join” on Facebook and other social media sites. Tips for staying secure during this time:
Hover over links – does the site say something like https://www.thecompanyname.com or is it something like https://companyname.someothersite.com, or maybe www.somethingsimple.pz? If it’s not the company’s official website, more than likely, it’s not them and instead a phishing scam
When you click a link, what does the address bar at the top of the site say?
If you are entering credit card information, or logging into a site, does the site have an HTTPS at the beginning with a lock symbol? If not, don’t do it! You can also click on the lock symbol to make sure everything is secure on that site.
But the site has a security emblem on the webpage saying it’s secure. Don’t do it. There are things called Cross Site Scripting vulnerabilities that can redirect your information elsewhere, and you won’t know till it’s too late.
