This week, while also in celebration of solstice, Tinne is about protection, but also bringing forth that fire within us. Lore pits the Oak King and Holly King against each other twice a year to battle as ruler. On Winter solstice, Oak wins and winter is upon us. At the Summer Solstice, Holly wins and invites the warmth of summer and life again. Tinne was also traditionally planted around houses as a form of protection or used under pillows for prophetic dreams.
This week, as the light of summer emerges, let Tinne remind you of your own noble, inner fire. Protect yourself, but also be yourself. Let your spark grow this week and as the Human Torch says “FLAME ON!”!!
