Hochma
Purification & Wisdom
The month of February is represented by the 2nd sephira in the Tree of Life. Hochma is located on the left side of the head. Hochma talks about the Divine Masculine and is directly connected to Kether (the crown), and so Hochma is the gateway to the higher worlds. Hochma is the “Eye of Enlightenment”, originating the perceptions, feelings, sensations and observations from inside of us, and talks with us without words. Our “Individual Program” begins to play out within Hochma. Flashes of Insight, sudden images and intuition are brought forth thru the interplay between Kether and Hochma.Meditate on this symbol for 5 minutes a day through the month of February to help release the blockages between you and the enlightenment of your own individual program. Alternately, you could also print off this symbol (make it about 2.5 inches) and place to the left of your head just above the ear for the 5 minutes with your eyes closed.

February everyone is talking about Love… and for some this is an exciting and fantastic time… for others it’s a dreaded time of year. From my experience, Love from others only comes after “Loving Oneself First”… though, what the heck does that even mean?I spent years trying to figure this out (and in many ways, still learning this). This is one of the reasons that I really enjoy the Esogetics Love Disk. Loving one’s self isn’t really something that can be taught or learned… though it is something that can be worked on from the symbolic languages contained within light (color/frequency) and holographic symbols. Releasing the conflict with the traumas of your past, letting go of judgments and emotional baggage goes a long way to having a new perspective and relationship with the concept of lovingoneself.
As many of my clients know, I am not shy about talking with couples about having a healthier love life with their partners. In this newsletter & through February you will also find some recipes and teas to help give energy and strength for “activities” on Valentines Day (and every day in-between).
For those of you that have been to our recent Open Houses at the Holistic Gateway Center for the Healing Arts, you have probably met the very talented Palmist and Psychic, Cameron withEssence of Fate 🙂 and he was recently interviewed by the St. Paul Pioneer Press!
Whole Food
Greater than the Sum of its Parts
BY MARGIE KING
Western science is obsessed with deconstructing food, researching and analyzing its component parts, isolating the active ingredients, repackaging them in pills or powders and prescribing them in daily doses. But according to Annemarie Colbin, Ph.D., author of Food and Healing, this chemistry-based theory of nutrition is upside-down. [Full Article]
Two of my favorite Ayurvedic Herbs, especially for this time of year, are Ashwagandha and Shatavari. Often times, Ashwagandha is thought of as being an herb for males and Shatavari as being an herb for females.Ashwagandha translates into “Vitality of a Horse” and is thought of giving a man the ability to be a stallion, while Shatavari translates to “she who has a 1,000 husbands” or more realistically as “to have the energy to have 1,000 husbands”… though both are great herbs for both sexes.
The Busy Computer Seasons: a Virus Writer’s dream!
by André Thomas
In the world of computers, there are two primary busy seasons – the holiday shopping season of November and December as well as Tax Time, though not in the ways you might expect. Viruses, malware and spyware have an ebb & flow. From years of experience, we have seen this pattern over and over again. This is not to say that viruses are not a concern all year round, they are, though there are times when you should make doubly sure that you are browsing safely. [Read Full Article]
Local Business Hightlight:
Art District Chiro & the Graston Technique
As many of you know, SchaOn has had many car accidents over the past year, and he had the pleasure the other day to experience a new modality to help in this healing process called the “Graston Technique”.Graston is an innovative soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions to achieve quicker and better outcomes in Chiropractic Care. Find out more on Art District Chiropractic’s website at: http://artdistrictchiropractic.com/
Therapy Highlight: Abhyangas
Abhyanga’s are a great way to help bring and maintain optimal health. Often, Sesame Seed, or a Sesame Seed based oil is used, which helps to thin heavier people, and bulk up thinner people, decreases the signs of aging, helps to make the skin softer and more supple, helps to nourish the body, and so much more!
This is also a great therapy for couples to share with each other (wink), and the sesame seed oil can go anywhere in or out of the body…
